Since moving in to our house nearly 3 years ago the one thing we kept saying is we need to change the blinds. The lounge and one of the spare bedrooms is ok but our room blind is bright Gold and just disgusting and the other back bedroom which will soon to be baby’s nursery is ok but is a wooden long pull cord one and you hear of too many accidents so we are changing that one.
Order blinds got in touch and offered us to review one of their blinds, and because I explained it would be for a baby’s nursery they pointed me straight in the direction of their “Spring Loaded” collection.
They say quoted from their website:
“Spring Loaded Roller Blinds – A Blackout Roller Collection With Safety In Mind…
Our Spring Loaded Roller Blind collection offers peace of mind for parents as there are no looped cords or hazards providing child safety at an affordable price. These are the perfect blinds for kids bedrooms & nurseries. For homes with pets that like to play with cords you can even opt for no decorative pull and simply pull the base of the blind to operate.
We have introduced a new slow rise spring mechanism which will be used on all of our spring-loaded roller blinds. The mechanism is a huge upgrade in that it’s easier to install and you can now control the speed that the blind rises back up at making it easier to use too. “
Each blind comes made to measure – you input the measurements into a form on the website, where you are then given a quote. The blind style we chose started at £57 – we have a biggish window and it came to a total of £76, which I think is brilliant value for money.
The picture doesn’t do it justice, it is a little brown blind covered with shiny stars.
It took my fiance approx 30 minute to put up, so was fairly easy and quick to put up.
The spring loaded system is lovely and smooth, and most importantly, safe! The small pull cord is not long enough for any child to hurt themselves with.
The guy I had dealt with was called Matthew Forde and he was incredible helpful from start to finish so a massive thank you to him.
*I was sent this product free of charge for the purpose of this review. However all thoughts, opinions and photos are my own.
