‘Bark bite’ Dog treats review

Enough about us for now it’s our dog Carly’s turn to have a bit of the spotlight.

She is one very spoilt dog!

When bark bites got in contact and offered us one of their tasty treat subscriptions box to review, Carly went barking mad.

IMG_6964

Carly was very excited to receive her treats as you can see.  Bark bite treats are great because they fit straight through your letter box,so you don’t have to worry about been in the house. You can choose from over 48 different hand baked treat to suit your dog from here your dog will be spoilt for choice.

I didn’t know what treats we were going to receive either, but you can handpick your own too.  There are different treats for different aspects of the dog, eg. Coat & Skin, digestion etc and you can pick the treats that best suit your dogs needs.  This is what we received in our subscription box.

Well as you can see Carly was a big fan of the treats she was sent, and would have possibly polished them off all in one go if we had let her.

Look at the smile on her face, one happy puppy dog.

You have 2 options for delivery which is great:

1) A box of treats per week for as little as £5.49

2) Fortnightly for as little as £5.99 every 2 weeks

I think these prices are good, for what you get, and I will certainly buying more for Carly in the future.

* We were sent this box of treats for the purpose of a review, however all thoughts, pictures and opinions are my own.

Brite brush sonic on the go review

I have always worried about my teeth, and have always struggled with issues no matter how much I look after them or how many times I brush them in a day and it does get me down and it’s certainly the part of me that I hate the most.

I have always felt you should invest as much as you can in your teeth. Dental work isn’t cheap and can turn out very expensive if not looked after properly, not to mention pretty unpleasant at times! A little time and money spent now, could prevent a lot of pain, and even more money spent, later on. It’s also reassuring to know you are doing the best for your teeth. You only get one adult set, after all – Isn’t that enough to convince you?!

When I was offered this “brite brush, sonic on the go” pocket sized toothbrush to review from Brite brush I immediately said yes, especially now I have braces.

It arrived a few weeks after completing the order, it arrived in a rather large box for the size of  box that the product actually came in.

IMG_6914

IMG_6915

When it arrived I couldn’t wait to open it and get it out and see what it looked liked and what colour I had been sent.

From just looking at it you wouldn’t know it was a toothbrush, maybe a pop  our blusher brush, but that’s what I love about it is hidden away, kept clean and hygenic in a case of its own.  It is great to just pop in my handbag, it fits perfectly in my smallest bag and being able to just carry it around and use it whenever I need.

All it requires is 1 x AAA battery to work and the bottom easily twists off to replace it.

* We were sent this product free of charge for the purpose of the review, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Nutri Fill-It Review

I’ve always been a healthy eater, with the occasional “fat” moment where I bing out on chocolate and unhealthy food, but can’t be the only one, right?

Well I am trying to get back on track with being good, eating healthy food and doing plenty of exercise and even more so now than ever as I’ve got under 12 months to lose a few stone/pounds for my wedding day next year.  I have tried lots of things but nothing seems to stick with me.

When I was contacted by Eat well UK to trial out there new reusable pouches I couldn’t say no.  I have tried to make my own smooth’s and shakes before but haven’t always turned out the best – these were the answers to my troubles.

IMG_6903

How does it work?

Its easy, just follow 3 simple steps….

1. Blend It – buy your healthy, favourite, fresh ingredients and make a batch of delicious, nutritious, smoothies/yoghurts etc – I love my beville smoothie maker, it’s amazing and so easy to use.

IMG_6902

In my smoothie I put strawberry’s, blueberries, raspberries and cranberry juice.

2. Fill It – pour your smoothies directly into your Nutri Fill-It pouches, seal the bottom with the ‘anti-leak’ Double Zip Lock and store in the fridge or freezer.  be sure to hold it tight while pouring so you dont drop it or spill any.

IMG_6905IMG_6904

I put ours in the freezer for a couple of hours so it would stay cold while we were at work.  They don’t take up much space either as they are compact sizes.

IMG_6906

Grab a pouch and go (an added bonus is your pouch acts as an ice pack keeping other lunch / snack items cool)!

3. Re-use It – after you have enjoyed your nutritious treat simply rinse out your pouch or place it in the dishwasher (top shelf open over 2 prongs) ready for the next use.  Due to its curved shape it is also easy to clean by hand under running water with a bottle brush

Nutri Fill-It can be re-used up to 100 times.

I absolutely love these pouches and would definitely buy more of these and make bulk amounts of my favourite homemade smoothies.

* I was sent a pack of 2 pouches free of charge for the purpose of this review, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

“Good for you” Healthy snacks review

The new school term has started, the kids are back at school now or most of them are and it’s back to organising packed lunches or school meals.  I know with my nephew how hard it is to get him to make his mind up about what he wants in his packed lunches including healthy things.

When Good4U got in touch and offered to send us some snacks I automatically said yes.  We received a package and opened it straight away and saw this cute this bag first of all.

IMG_6888

How cute is this cool bag the snacks came in.

IMG_6889

In the bag I received 5 of each of the 2 newest flavours of “Good4u” snacks.

IMG_6890

I gave a couple of packets to my nephew to try and I kept the rest.

Unfortunately my nephew didn’t like them, stating he didn’t like the texture or the flavours.  I also tried them and again sadly the texture and flavours were not to my liking.

* We were sent these products free of charge for the purpose of this review, However all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Caketoppers Cupcakes Review

Everyone loves cakes right? Hands up…I do!

The one thing that’s better than just any old plain cake is a cake that has been personalised – I have never had a personalised cake but I did get one done through Tesco’s years ago for my mum’s birthday which she loved. Caketoppers are the home of personalised cakes and produces, everything from full size celebration cakes to individual personalised cupcakes.  We were sent a set of 2 cupcakes to taste and they were super yummy..

You can personalise your own Cupcakes with pretty much anything – from photos or wording. I decided to put my blog name on an a picture of my nephews on mine.

IMG_6826[1]

The cupcakes came well packaged and sent through via Royal Mail. Unfortunately we missed the delivery and they were thrown over the back garden gate and surprisingly the cakes were still in perfect condition despite the delivery method.

You have a choice of cakes which come in classic sponge with white icing in a silver foil case and chocolate sponge with chocolate icing in a gold foil case. We received one of each flavour so we could enjoy both varieties. I love that you have a choice to suit any preference.

How cute are these?

IMG_6831 IMG_6832

The cakes had thick icing on top, the cases were full to the brim with fluffy sponge cake that tasted fantastic and the photo on the top was printed onto icing. The sponge was soft, light and fluffy and the whole cake was delicious, a really lovely cake.  Even after not eating the cakes straight away after receiving them they were still as fresh as if you had brought them the same day.

I will defianitely be buying cakes from Caketoppers again and it was great service despite the delivery service from Royal mail.  They would make a great gift also, but who needs an excuse to buy cakes? Not me!

Caketoppers create really lovely cakes and if you would like to use their service you can get 10% off your next order using my special code LOAA10 at the checkout.

Serenz Allergy Relief Review

I have always for many years suffered with hay fever, and I hate it, the constant sneezing, coughing, sore red puffy itchy eyes and runny nose and not even being able to go and sit in my own back garden makes me depressed and very fed up.

IMG_6790[1]

I have tried so many different products to try and relieve the signs and symptoms of hay fever before it has a chance to take hold of me, but nothing seems to work for a long period of day, normally just a few hours.

When I was offered to try a new product from Serenz I couldn’t wait to see if it helped me fight off the signs and symptoms of hay fever.  It comes in a little box with instructions on how to use it and a key.

IMG_6808

It’s not small but it can be carried around in your handbag so when and as you need it can be used quickly and easily wherever you are.

I would recommend anyone to try this who suffers with any of the these symptoms and I would defiantly buy this product again.

Disclosure: We were sent the above product for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.

Bio Oil Review & Giveaway

I’m not a very self conscious person, well not all the time, but things have since changed when I had to go into hospital and have a little operation to fit an Insertable Cardiac monitor in my chest,  It didn’t leave a massive scar but it did leave a scar big enough where everyone can see it, unless I wear high neck tops which I don’t want to have to do.

Every person is different and unique, and others feel more contious about scars than other but scars make you who you are today, what you have been through and that you have survived and come through it all fighting.

I have teamed up with Bio Oil to give 3 lucky readers a change to win one of these 60ml bottles of bio oil each worth around £5.99 each.

IMG_6586 IMG_6587

Bio oil smells quite nice it hasn’t got a strong smell but as it is oil it’s has got that oily texture to it so be careful when putting it on you don’t spill any as it may stain clothes.

Speedy Bin game – Review and Giveaway

We have always been a close family and love playing games, especially monopoly, we would even have “game nights” where we would dedicate an evening of a weekend and go round to my auntie’s house with my cousins or they would come to us and play games and have some quality family time, including the arguments over people trying to cheat.

When I was offered the chance to review this game I couldn’t wait for it to arrive and to get my nephew round to play it with me.

IMG_6515

The box contains:

  • The bin
  • Several sheets of different coloured Tissue Paper
  • Instructions

IMG_6516

IMG_6570

The game comes in 6 bits that are easily assembled by just clicking them together.

This game does require batteries 4 x AA batteries ( Not Included), and it is aged 4+ with 1 or more players.

IMG_6577IMG_6574

Me and my nephew had lots of fun playing with it for at least an hour, chasing it round the room and trying to dodge it from crashing in to him.  It has 2 settings 1 & 2, setting one is slow and setting 2 is fast.  My nephew Jack laughed & laughed the whole time whilst playing it, he loved it and he’s 8 years old.  The game ended in me and my nephew having a tissue paper fight, instead of throwing it in the bin.

It is a great game and will certainly keep the kids entertained.  The retail price for this game is £24.95 but you can find it for less in most toy stores like Smyths Toys, Argos, Ebay or Amazon.

I’m now going to give one lucky reader the chance to win this game.

To enter, please complete the Rafflecopter widget below. All terms and conditions can be found at the bottom of the page.

Bubble Bum Booster Seat Review

As most of my readers will know I am an Auntie to 4 nephews and their ages range from 1 years to 8 years old, I also have a god-daughter and godson who are 5 and 8 years old.

I was approached by the company to trial a booster seat, I have heard of this brand before so was excited to have the opportunity to review it.

IMG_6517

When it arrived I was shocked to see it was bright pink as I only have boys/nephews in my family but I do have a god-daughter, so to save the embarrassment of my nephews having to trial it out, I asked my best friend and her daughter to help me out.

The car seat comes in a little box, where it includes a fab idea of a little bag so you can easily store it away after use, it is easy to transport to families and to & from cars to cars, It’s light weight also.  IMG_6520

It is easily inflated by mouth by using the value at the back of the seat.  Just twist it open and inflate till full.

IMG_6519

Here it is in use by my little helper Jessica.

IMG_6580

Jessica’s thoughts about the seat, she said she really loved the seat, it was comfy, and it was her favourite colour.

It is easy to fit into any car in about 5 minute, just making sure that the seat belt is fitted through the red holders to secure it in place.  There are 2 on either side of the seat and one to put the seat belt through.

IMG_6582 IMG_6583 IMG_6584

This particular car seat is priced at £29.99 and can be brought directly from the company website here or alternative colours are available but prices may vary.

Then once you have finished with it you can just unscrew the cap deflate it and put it in the bag and put it in a cupboard or leave it in the car for when you will next need it.

IMG_6585

I think this is a fab idea and at a great price and easy to store away after use.

What the company says: BubbleBum, best seller and parents favorite, winner of more than 20 design and innovation awards including Mumsnet, Mother & Baby and Practical Parenting. The portable, lightweight, inflatable car booster seat for children aged between 4-11 easily deflates and packs away, making it perfect for holidays, rental cars, taxis, coach journeys, school trips or car pooling. – If you don’t believe it try it out for yourself.

I would highly recommend this product to all parents.

* I was sent this product free of charge for the purpose of a review, However all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Blogger Tiki Party – Island Bar Birmingham

When I received an email back in April inviting me along to another blog event in July I immediately replied with a big fat YES.  I have only been to 3 blog events in the 12 months I have been blogging including this one, so it is very exciting when I get invited to events.

I really didn’t know what to expect from this one

It was hosted by the lovely Kirsty Leanne from the start, with constant email updates to keep us posted with what is happening on the day.  It was been held at Island bar Birmingham, I have only been there once which was for a birthday night out but it was rammed, so was nice to see it in the day time.  The ceiling was decorated with lots of little lanterns.

IMG_6418

Me and my sister-in-law arrived together a little early and just had a look around as they were still setting up.  There was a little guest book while we waited to sign with a little message.  Once it was all set up Kirsty told us we could start walking round and mingling to see and talk to other bloggers and have a look at companies and products that were on offer.  Some of the companies I saw were:

  1. Pink Parcel
  2. Little bit lavish
  3. Love Aroma
  4. Toad diaries
  5. Early Bird Snacks

IMG_6421 IMG_6422 IMG_6423 IMG_6438 IMG_6440 IMG_6443 IMG_6444

The goody bag we received at the end of the day was huge, the biggest I have ever had, it was filled with all sorts of goodies from lots of different companies.

arIMG_6445

Near the end of the day they also held a raffle to win some more amazing prizes, I had a go but unfortunately didn’t win anything either this time.  The main thing was having fun and taking part.

It was a great day overall and was good to meet and speak to other bloggers.   Thank you to Kirsty Leanne for organising it all.  I would have loved to stay after the event but unfortunately wasn’t able to this time.

I attended this blog event free of charge and received the product as part of the event in return for honest reviews of all products, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
