Our weekly meal plan! 26/01/26 – 01/02/26 #MealPlanningMonday

Last week was a another busy one trying to get back in the school and work routine. I don’t know where it went. We went over to my parents for lunch on Saturday after Freddie’s footy training then Sunday Freddie had a home footy match and we went to look at caravans over in Burton but the one we like sold while we were there so it’s back to the start.

Last weeks meal plan was great, everyone enjoyed some of the new Sainsbury meals. My favourite meal was the Tandoori Chicken Burgers. We all enjoyed the hearty fry up on Sunday.

This week is looking very standard other than kids clubs after school, footy training and cubs not much going on which is nice, don’t have much time to do anything else after work.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday – Steak with Chimichurri sauce

This is a new recipe for us off sainsbury’s website. Not sure how the kids will like this but they both like meat and we will have this with chips, fried tomatoes & onions.

Tuesday – Jacket potatoes with chilli con carne

I like Jacket potatoes as they are easy to do after a long day at work and the kids love them and they are filling. Kids will probably have cheese and beans and Tom and I will have chilli and cheese.

Wednesday – Cornish pasties

Wednesday are crazy because Freddie has football training 6pm – 7pm and Phoebe’s at my parents so we don’t eat together so need meals that I can cook and warm up when they get home.

Thursday – Tandoori chicken burgers

This is a new recipe for us off sainsbury’s website as I am struggling with meal prep and getting bored of the same meals I cook every week.

Friday – Pizza & chips

Kids go to my parents so I only need to plan meals for me and Tom which is nice so something with minimal effort to be honest.

Saturday – Easy lamb rogan josh

This is a new recipe for us off sainsbury’s website as I am struggling with meal prep and getting bored of the same meals I cook every week.

Sunday – Fry up tea

Sausages, bacon, eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, and fried toast
