HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!!

The lovely Rachel from Coffee, Cake, Kids tagged me in her Christmas Tag post, and I thought it was a lovely way to talk about Christmas, what it means to us and how we celebrate it.  So, here goes!

What’s your favourite Christmas movie?

Hmm, I think I would have to say Love Actually, Makes me feel proper Christmassy when I watch it.

Have you ever had a white Christmas?

Not that I can remember. I think there has been one where there’s been snow left on the ground from before, but I can’t actually remember it snowing on Christmas Day.

Where do you usually spend your holiday?

When I lived at home with my parents we’d get up open our presents at home and then each year take it in turns to either have it at my parents, go to my Aunties or go to my Grandparents for the rest of the day. Since Moving out I have gone to my Parents and the other half has gone to his parents.  This year is different as we are now married and have a little boy, so we’re spending the morning at home, going over to my parents for Christmas Dinner then over to my hubby’s nans to spend it with his parents, Sister and our Nephews.

What is your favourite Christmas song?

It has to be Fairytale of New York by the Pogues.  I love a good Christmas song as it really gets me in the spirit of the build up to the big day.

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Nope, Never.  Never will do either.  I may introduce Freddie to a Christmas Eve Box when he’s older.

Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Rudolph, Dancer, Dasher, Blitzen, Cupid, Comet, Vixen, Donner, Prancer. I think?

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?

Food. Family. Alcohol as last year I was pregnant. All the normal good stuff!

Is Your Christmas Tree Real or Fake?

Fake :(, I have always had a really one before I moved out but with our dog we didn’t want her to run into it and the get the needles in her paws etc so have a fake one.  Maybe when Freddie’s older I will persuade the hubby to get a really one as I love the smell and to me makes it feel really Christmassy.

What is your favourite holiday treat/food/sweet?

My Mums famous brandy truffles and Mint Matchsticks – Can’t get enough of them

What is the best present you have ever received?

As a child, Most probably my first hamster which I called Frisky. I had gone on for ages to my parents I would love a hamster and I got one. As a grown-up,

Where is your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

I love spending time with my family so wherever they may be.

Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?

I love wrapping presents I used to do all mine plus help my parents and In Laws do their’s.  I wouldn’t say I’m a pro at it but I certainly put lots of effort into it.

Most memorable Christmas memory?

Making a Christmas card for all the family last year to tell them we were expecting a baby.  I will never forget everyones reactions.  With the words ” Then there was four, Baby Cooper arriving July 2017″ printed on the front.

What made you realise the truth about Santa?

What truth?

What makes the holidays special for you?

Spending quality time with my family, plus seeing my nephews faces when they receive their presents from us and Santa.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!
