Meal Planning Monday 05/08/19

Well, Hello August, Nice to see you.

I really don’t know where this year has gone, it’s crazy.  Last weeks meal plan was inspired by my husband for a change and he choose the meals we had.  He loved the southern fried chicken wraps so I think that is going to be a new favourite go to meal for us.

This week I am rustling up

Sirloin steak, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, chunky homemade chips with peppercorn sauce

Spaghetti bologenese with spiralized courgette

Slow cooked chicken curry and basmatic rice

Bacon & cheese quiche with Savory beef rice & salad

Warm chicken Cesar salad and croutons

Sausage, egg, chips & beans

Roast dinner with all the trimmings

What are you cooking this week?

Pretty Flowers #MySundaySnapshot

I love flowers even if my husband thinks and calls them dead plants.  they just brighten up the house no matter the weather. I will try and pick a few bunches up every time I go shopping.

They are placed in several places around the house like in the kitchen, lounge, hall and even the bathroom.  I find carnation last much longer than other flowers normally too.

Do you have a favourite type of flower?

How are we at the end of July already? This week has been crazy and has flown by.

Last weeks meal plan went good again, I finally went food shopping after not going properly for a few weeks due to various things.  We had a bit of a heatwave and a huge thunderstorm last Tuesday so we didn’t get much sleep.

The last few meals I have made the husband has moaned he is going off part or all of it so I have been struggling for meals to do, so this week I asked him to write down what he wanted so I could shop accordingly and the below is what he has chosen.  Do you ask your partner what they want to eat?

Lasagna (His favourite all time meal)

Tuna Pasta Bake

Enchiladas

Shepherds Pie

Southern Fried Chicken wraps & Salad

Meatballs

Burgers (No chips)

Does your partner decided on meals or do you decide all?

Have a great week all

Mum’s 65th Birthday Party #MySundaySnapshot

I’ve been so rubbish keeping up to date with doing this linky.  I try and do it the same time as I do my meal planning Mondays for the week but seem to be failing miserable.

Anyways, a couple of weeks ago it was my mum’s 65th Birthday, she didn’t want to do anything but we weren’t going to let it pass without.  Me & dad arranged a surprise gathering at their house with her closest family & friends.  Dad took her out for a late lunch and when they arrived home we were all in the garden.

Meal Planning Monday 22/07/19

So last week was OK but our meal plans didn’t go as straight forward as I thought. Wednesday’s meal we had Thursday night as Wednesday I had my nephews school leavers play from 6pm and didn’t get home till gone 8pm so I ended up ordering a MacDonald for my tea.  Then Sunday we ended up going out for tea with friends which was lovely.

It’s the start of the 6 weeks holidays I believe too for most of you so I hope you all have some great plans made for the summer.

All is quiet now for us no more birthday’s or party’s to be organised.  It my parents wedding anniversary this week but that’s it.

Slow cooked chicken tikka balti with rice & naan bread

Pukka pies, chips and beans

Beef and vegetable stir fry with egg noodles

Garlic & herb lamb steaks, creamy mash & gravy

Spaghetti Bologenese with pasta

Hot dogs

Roast chicken joint with all the trimmings

Hope you all have a great week.

Meal Planning Monday 15/07/19

Last weeks meal plan went well too, I think we pretty much stuck to the exact meals which was good going.

The weekend was a huge success for my Mum’s 65th Birthday surprise gathering.  She didn’t guess a thing.  My dad took her out for lunch and then arrived back and we were all waiting for her in the garden and she did get a little teary.

Monday’s now are my working from home days so I’m hoping to be more productive and innovative with meals and try making things in the slow cooker too, so any recipes feel free to pass my way.

Have a great week!

Sausage pasta bake

Homemade chicken fajitas & chips

Pan fried pork with apple & onion salsa and homemade wedges

Baked chicken & cheese wrapped in bacon with homemade chips

Omelette and salad

Balti curry with boiled rice

Sunday roast and all the trimmings

What are your meals for this week?

Party Time #MySundaySnapshot

Last Saturday was our Son’s 2nd Birthday party BBQ with family and friends.  Despite the weather been a little dull we didn’t let that dampen our celebrations.  We had a lovely time and he has been truly spoilt.

Look how happy he was with his Raa Raa cake.

Our Experience of Protur Palmeras Playa Hotel In Sa Coma

*AD (Gifted Items included)

Last year, we decided after not having a holiday for more than three years we would plan to go away on our first family holiday abroad, with my parents and nephew.  We searched for months, then my dad sent me two places he had found. We decided on this one , the Protur Palmeras Playa Hotel In Sa Coma,  All inclusive, of course.

The weather when we arrived was miserable and rainy, we checked in and put our luggage away and headed straight to the pool bar for lunch.

Hotel & Rooms

The Protur Palmeras Playa Hotel is a 4 Star Platinum hotel located in Sa Coma, Majorca. From the outside, it looks lovely and then when you enter into reception it’s beautiful and contemporary.

The room we stayed in was very spacious and the beds exceptionally comfy we have a balcony with a view of the pool, see below.

Pool

The pool was one large pool with a kids pool attached and then a separate Jacuzzi tucked away in the corner away from the poolside where people could go and relax.

Rooftop pool

When we got the opportunity while Freddie was sleeping we went up and spent a bit of husband and wife time at the rooftop pool.  It was lovely and peaceful topped with a view of the sea made it perfect.  *Swim dress gifted from UK swimwear

Beach

The beach is a mere 5/10 min walk from the Hotel and has beautiful golden sand. The sea was gorgeously clear with the waves lapping softly onto the sand.

Staff

From the second we entered the Hotel the staff was amicable, helpful and polite.  The way they interacted with the kids was great, making them laugh and smile it was lovely to see.  They worked so hard and long hours but yet nothing was ever too much trouble.

Food

Where do I start, the sheer amount of selection was overwhelming something pretty much for everyone.  The one thing that did let it down was the fact that there wasn’t always foods that went together with anything, you would have spaghetti but nothing to go on it.  You had a grill cooking area where you could have ingredients put together and made fresh in front of you like stir-fries.

Facilities

In our room, we had tea/coffee making facilities with a fridge underneath.  The bathroom had complimentary toiletries in too.

Overview

I would recommend this Hotel to both families and couples for a holiday destination to visit.  You are a 5/10 minute walk to the beach and you also got shops less than a 5 minute walk too.

Rating

We are rating this hotel as  4.5/5*
