Last year, we decided after not having a holiday for more than three years we would plan to go away on our first family holiday abroad, with my parents and nephew. We searched for months, then my dad sent me two places he had found. We decided on this one , the Protur Palmeras Playa Hotel In Sa Coma, All inclusive, of course.
The weather when we arrived was miserable and rainy, we checked in and put our luggage away and headed straight to the pool bar for lunch.
Hotel & Rooms
The Protur Palmeras Playa Hotel is a 4 Star Platinum hotel located in Sa Coma, Majorca. From the outside, it looks lovely and then when you enter into reception it’s beautiful and contemporary.
The room we stayed in was very spacious and the beds exceptionally comfy we have a balcony with a view of the pool, see below.
Pool
The pool was one large pool with a kids pool attached and then a separate Jacuzzi tucked away in the corner away from the poolside where people could go and relax.
Rooftop pool
When we got the opportunity while Freddie was sleeping we went up and spent a bit of husband and wife time at the rooftop pool. It was lovely and peaceful topped with a view of the sea made it perfect. *Swim dress gifted from UK swimwear
Beach
The beach is a mere 5/10 min walk from the Hotel and has beautiful golden sand. The sea was gorgeously clear with the waves lapping softly onto the sand.
Staff
From the second we entered the Hotel the staff was amicable, helpful and polite. The way they interacted with the kids was great, making them laugh and smile it was lovely to see. They worked so hard and long hours but yet nothing was ever too much trouble.
Food
Where do I start, the sheer amount of selection was overwhelming something pretty much for everyone. The one thing that did let it down was the fact that there wasn’t always foods that went together with anything, you would have spaghetti but nothing to go on it. You had a grill cooking area where you could have ingredients put together and made fresh in front of you like stir-fries.
Facilities
In our room, we had tea/coffee making facilities with a fridge underneath. The bathroom had complimentary toiletries in too.
Overview
I would recommend this Hotel to both families and couples for a holiday destination to visit. You are a 5/10 minute walk to the beach and you also got shops less than a 5 minute walk too.
