Champions League Fact File Review & Giveaway

Having a 9 year old nephew who is mad on football, who goes to football training every week, plays in matches and belongs to an under10’s team and has pretty much every football kit home & away, it’s safe to say we have to semi like football.

No matter what weather comes, rain or shine we are usually dragged out into the garden to play football every opportunity possible, plus he has also just had a new bigger football net from my mum & dad (Grandparents) and a new football from my fiance and me for his birthday.

When the opportunity arose to review a champions League Factfile from Carlton Books I couldn’t resist and knew how excited my nephew would be to receive this and read it.  It is full with loads of great information for all those football lovers.

img_8194

He liked it that much he even took it into his school for his “Show & Tell” lesson because he wanted to show it off to all his friends in class.  His friends loved it and said it was really interesting and they passed it around his class friends to look at.  Clearly went down a treat.

He loves it that much he also reads it while walking to school.

Tommee Tippee Product Reviews

I saw an opportunity on Facebook for some Tommee Tippee products so I sent the lady an email asking if I could be considered.  She didn’t specify what products were available so I was very excited to see what would arrive.

I had sent the lady an email on the 31st January, then receiving the parcel on the 8th February which was fab.

Dermasalve Cream Review

When I was younger I suffered from slight eczema on my legs, it irritated me so much with none stop scratching making my skin red sore and bleed.  Eventually, over time it just disappeared.

My OH suffers quite badly with eczema and has ever since he was young too, he has tried and tested all sorts of creams and lotions to try and help.

When we were offered to try a new product called the dermasalve cream I jumped at the opportunity to see if it would help the OH with his skin.  It really gets him down some days and gets stressed about it which makes it flare up more.

img_7778

His skin can flare up at anything, stress, general life, washing up, cleaning and much more.

img_7779

The photo doesn’t really do this picture much justice but this is a fairly good day for my OH.  He gets so annoyed and frustrated with it, the constant scratching and irritation and the cracking of his skin which makes it really painful.

My OH has been using this cream pretty much every day and we will keep using it over a large period of time and see if it helps him with his eczema as only time will tell if it is working the longer we use it for.   It does help keep his skin smooth and soft and prevent it from getting too dry and cracking which he is pleased about.

Baby On Board Vitamins Review

Just before Christmas, I found out I was pregnant.  I am now 19 weeks Pregnant.

I’ve been told my lots of family and friends that I need to now start taking extra vitamins to help make sure both baby and I are getting the supplements and support we need throughout my pregnancy.

Baby on board Vitamins

I was contacted by the hut group and offered to trial out their “Baby on Board” Vitamins seeing as I was expecting my first baby.  I understand the importance of taking vitamins to make sure you’re healthy but when your carry another little person you have to make sure both you and baby are getting all the support and supplements possible to keep you fit and healthy.

The Baby on Board Vitamins I received contained 30 tablets and are suitable to be taken once a day with food.  You can buy them in 1 month or 3 month supply.  1 Month supply is priced at £5.99 and 3 months are priced at £14.99.  You can buy this product off the internet using the link above.

Quiet Rebellion Sock Review

One night my fiance and I were sat watching Dragons Den on the television when two gentlemen came onto show the dragons their unique style of socks and what they had on offer to see if they could get the dragons to invest in their business.

I contacted Quiet Rebellion a few days later to see if they wanted me to review their products and promote their business through my blog.

They offered to send me some socks to review and they arrived a few day later via the post.

img_7774

I couldn’t wait to open the envelope to see what funky designs they had sent us.  They kindly sent us 2 pairs, small for me, and large for my fiance.

Quiet Rebellion Socks

There was an amazing array of bright colours in both pairs to make them stand out when I got them out the packet.  I thought the patterns on them were great.  They felt super comfy and very soft.

img_7822

The night we received them we unwrapped them and put them on, they were really soft and had plenty of stretch in them as sometimes the cuffs of socks can be rough and tight and dig into your skin.

My OH loved them and told me they are his new lucky socks and was going to wear them lots.  I would definitely buy socks from this company again or buy them for presents as the quality of Quiet rebellions products is fantastic.

Bloom & Wild – Letter Box Drew Christmas Tree Review

The festive season is fast approaching upon us and with only 5 weeks till Christmas arrives and the man in the red suit comes and delivers your presents, it’s all very exciting but not to mention expensive.I have always had a really Christmas tree when I was living at home but since moving out we haven’t been able to have one which makes me sad, because our living room isn’t big enough and also because I worry about the needles that they will hurt our dog’s paws.

When Bloom & Wild got in touch as asked if I wanted to review one of their mini letter box Christmas trees I quickly said yes with Christmas fast approaching.

The drew Christmas tree

They hadn’t come into stock when they first contacted me so I had to wait a few weeks for it, a short time after I received an email to say my delivery was on it’s way to me and I could wait to see what it was like.

img_7509

The great thing about this company is their parcels fit through most letter boxes which are amazing, because if you are not at home they can just post it through your door, no trips to the post office, no knocking on neighbours doors or having to rearrange deliveries.

The Christmas tree came delivered in a lovely box all wrapped and very well presented.

img_7514

They also put a little note in the box too with instructions.  I love little touches like that.

img_7510 img_7511 Style your tree instructions

I carefully peeled the wrapping back and looked inside and the overpowering smell of pine and really fresh Christmas trees just hit you.  I love that smell.

Our mini drew tree

A day later when I had a bit of peace and quiet one evening I started to set my tree up,  I carefully took it out the box, untied the ribbon and set it gently into the little box it came with.  I did as the instructions told me and gently spread the branches out and lastly put the moss around the base of the tree and gave it a little drink of water and now it was ready for some decorations.

Our drew Christmas Tree

I left it for a few days to settle and to allow the branches to drop then decorated.

We then decorated our Christmas tree with mini baubles, sadly we didn’t have any mini lights to put on it or a small enough star to put on it either.

Our mini Christmas tree

Our mini tree is still going strong after well over a month of receiving it, so they are certainly a must buy for me for next year.  The smell of the tree is still strong and remind me of Christmas every day and has to be one of my favourite smells of all times.

Milton antibacteria wipe review

I always make sure I have cleaning wipes and products in the house as I am a little OCD about certain areas of the house been super clean and hygienic e.g. bathroom and kitchen.  I have baby wipes – despite not having a baby, they are so handy for when my niece and nephews come over, or to put in my handbag to take out with me, or even wiping down worktops and other items.

Milton antibacterial wipes

They are priced at around £2.05 and come in packs of 30 wipes.  These can be picked up from most stores such as boots, Superdrug, Sainsbury’s & Tesco.  I don’t think they are too badly prices as Milton is a good popular brand.

I would buy this product and recommend it to friends and new mums.

Heckfood Review

We love food in our house, well my OH does.  It’s difficult to try and find food that he will eat and enjoy but when a company called Heckfood got in contact and asked if we wanted to try a selection of their food.

I arranged a delivery with heckfood as they only have two deliveries every week I had to try and fit it in when they had a free space, you can find out more here.  Within the space of a week my delivery had arrived, couldn’t wait to open it and see what goodies I had been sent.

img_7524

The box had been packed in a cool chilled box with plenty of ice cooler packs to keep the food nice, cold and fresh.

Our next door neighbours had taken the package in as we were at work but the good thing was the ice cool packs were still freezing even after 4 hours of being out the fridge.

Having never heard of heckfood before I was excited to see what they had sent us to taste.

img_7526

They sent us a large selection of their Sausages, burgers and meat balls of all different flavours and they smelt amazing.  I had to put the majority of it in the freezer to prevent it going off.  I kept the fair & square burgers out and a pack of chicken Italia sausages to try.

I cooked the burgers the other night for tea and they were fab, they didn’t shrink in size like normal burgers and stayed together when picked up to put on the rolls.  They tasted amazing, full of flavours.  We had them with curly fries, salad, onion and bacon.

I would most definitely buy these products again.

They are available in Sainsburys, Waitrose, Asda, Morrisons and Tesco.

4 pairs of glass

4 sets of various eyes, hair, noses

WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS to the NEC Festive gift fair

Christmas is one of my favourite times of year – minus the cold weather.  I try to persuade my OH Tom to let me put the tree and decorations up as early as possible in the run up to the big day – I always win that one.

Last year I headed over to the festive gift fair at the NEC birmingham with my mum for a mother and daughter day after I won tickets, and to see what goodies I could get my hands on to decorate our house for our first proper christmas in our new home.  It looked great fun and would most certainly put you in the mood for christmas.

We arrived just after it opened and went straight in with no waiting around, at first glance it was packed, and it was beautifully decorated with lots of christmas decorations and toys, I felt like a little kid in a toy shop.

I found and brought some tree decorations and a extendable snowman, which I though were super cute.
