Degustabox | January 2018

The first Degustabox of 2018 arrived last week and it was another good box with lots of variety in, some of which we have had before and some not.  I look forward to this subscription box arriving every month.

Mahtay Yerba Mate Sparkling Tea £1.49

I love a good cuppa, but never heard of sparkling tea, so this was new but I have to say it wasn’t my cup of tea (Pun intended)

Miso Tasty Spicy Ramen Noodle Kit £1.99

We have received these in a previous box, they weren’t to my taste so unfortuantly I can’t see these been either but will give them a shot with tea one night.

Pulsin Vanilla whey protein powder £1.99

We haven’t tried the shake yet but the protein bars were yummy, great little healthy snack for on the go.  We received 2 bars & 1 shake.

Robinsons Fruit Cordial £2.49 – One of three flavours included in each box

I love robinsons squash but also find it a little expensive, this come in 3 flavours and the flavour I received was lovely very fruity.  If this was ever on offer I would buy it again but also feel it needs to be presented in a plastic bottles rather than glass.

Latin American Kitchen Chipotle Mayo Topping £1.80

We are still yet to try this but it is something the husband will defiantely enjoy whereas it’s not my kind of sauce but will give it a go, it will make a nice change to other sauces we use.

Colombian crunchy chicken bites seasoned corn coating £0.90

I can’t wait to try this out one night as will do a themed chicken night meal for us as we both love chicken.  you could alos prep this the night before and cook or heat up another day.

Clipper Everyday Organic Tea

This was a gift sample in this months box, but they didn’t last very long, the taste was lovely.  Whenever these are on offer I will be sure to pick a pack up at the supermarket.

LighterLife fast ready to drink shakes 2 x £2.49

I am starting a healthy eating plan shortly as we’ve got a wedding and hen do to go too so want to try and loose my baby weight a little more so these are a good start.  Unfortuntantly we haven’t got a superdrug near to us and feel they are a little on the expensive side.

Explore cuisine organic edamame & mung bean fettuccine £3.00

I don’t like trying new things and in all honesty this sounds horrible but when mixed with other ingredients it’s actually ok, I used chicken & vegetables topped with a sprinkle of cheese and it was ok, can’t say I would buy it again but i’ve tried it.

Jordons juicy Red Berry Frusli Bars 2 x £0.45

These make a great snack full of fruit perfect for lunch boxes or on the go.  I only received 1 of these too.

Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna Steaks £3.49

Tuna is tuna to me I can’t tell the different from brands and unfortauntly wouldn’t spend this much on a tin of tuna.

Hersheys Cookies N Creme 5 pack snack pack – £1.00

We are a massive fan of these in our house so when we received these i was so tempted to hide them from the husband.

The Reindeer And The Swallow | Book Review

As previously mentioned in another post I love reading and love receiving books that me and my hubby can read to our little boy at bed time.

The most recent book we have received is this gorgeous illustrated christmassy book called “The Reindeer and the swallow”.

It is all about a swallow that befriends a reindeer to help get it back to Africa after he lost all the other swallows on his migration journey. He had a bad start and

The illustrations in the book are fantastic and beautifully done to make it look real.  I have read this book myself and to my little boy and it is such a heart warming book where it is built up on trust and unconditional love of the relationship between the reindeer and swallow.

Cute Nico Changing Bag | Review

When I first found out I was pregnant I knew there was going to be so much more stuff I had to start taking out with me on a daily basis to places.  We started off with our normal changing bag that came with the pram and it was great, but as our little boy got older we have more luggage to take around with us, such as food, milk & toys.

When John got in contact from Cute Nico asking me if I would be interested in reviewing his changing bag I immediately jumped at the chance to say yes as this would hopefully answer all our problems.

Upon receiving the rucksack I instantly noticed how gender neutral it was which is great if you are unaware of your little ones gender before the birth.

The bag itself is very generous in size and can definitely hold all that I will need for my little boy, along with my own little bits too! I love that there are separate sections inside of the main body of the bag, along with outer compartments too; this definitely helps me to stay organised with separating all of the things so that they don’t get jumbled up and are easy to locate.

The bag also comes with it’s own changing mat & seperate 2 compartments, which easily connect onto anything you want.

This bag retailed at £68.99 and can be purchased from here.I do feel this is a little over priced but is certainly worth it if you wish to spend that sort of money on a changing rucksake.

Gingersnap Letterboard | Review

I have for a while now wanted one of these message board but have been unable to find one that I have been drawn too, so when gingersnap got in contact offering me one to review I jumped at the chance and said yes.

We’ve been reviewing the small wooden framed vintage grey felt letter board which is priced at £30 on the website.  It comes with 300 letters, numbers and symbols as standard.

This board makes a great prop to help style some photos out with so am looking forward to using it alot in upcoming posts.

The letters slot easily into the felt grooves, so you can easily change them so to create your messages for all occasions – personalised happy birthday, holiday & seasonal messages, wedding and birth announcements, menu board in the kitchen, the possibilities are endless.  They are available in different sizes and colours.

As we approach special occasions such as Valentines Day I will write special messages on the board to display around the house. This product would make a great little gift too

This Winter, Let there be light | Litecraft Review

With the nights drawing in and the weather going from one extreme to the other every day, I love nothing more than to stay inside my house curled up watching rubbish on tv under a blanket.

When Litecraft got in contact it couldn’t of been at a more perfect time as our current lamp in the lounge had started given up the go and stopped working.

This particular lamp RRP’s at £39 and can be found here with a large selection of others to suit all your home decor needs.

It is neutral yet classy and would fit perfectly into any space.  We never put the big lights on as it gives out a perfect amount of light without it been to bright.

If I was looking for lights/lamps for our house again, I would be sure to look here first as they are good value for money.

Bakersday Cake | Review & Giveaway

Hope you you all had a fantastic Christmas & New Year?

Right how about we kick the new year off with a Bakerdays cake review & Giveaway?  I know we are all probably sick of seeing and eating but who can refuse cake?

Cake is one of my weaknesses so when I was offered a cake from bakerdays to review I happily obliged. I was able to choose my own personal design to go on the cake or you can pick from their pre design options.

It came presented in a lovely little metal tin, with a note and a christmas cracker which I felt was the ultimate little touch.

The processing of the cake was so easy, choose your design, the flavour of sponge you want and then it gets delivered straight through your letter box hassle free.  The cake was delicious, fluffy and light and didn’t last very long. With some cake you can find that it is very sickly sweet but this wasn’t, the icing was perfectly gooey.

If you would love to be in with a chance of winning a cake for yourself or as a gift for a friend or family member then enter using the rafflecopter link below.  You have until the 29th January 2018 to enter.  GOOD LUCK!

Getting Dressed with LOTD | Review

The nights are drawing in, the leaves are falling off the trees and the temperature is dropping.  I love nothing more than to be snuggled up toasty and warm in my house with the heating turned up.  When it comes to going out I don’t have many clothes that are purely for the colder seasons.

I always want warmth and comfort, So when LOTD got in contact and asked me if I wanted to review a selection of items off their website handpicked by me, I was determined to find clothes that would provide both of the above.

I knew straight away what I was looking for and wanted ideally, so it was just a case of scrolling and finding these items.

Firstly I headed over to the Tops section and found this gorgeous knitted Grey Distressed Cold Shoulder Jumper RRP is £20.00.

This jumper goes with everything, jeans and leggings which is ideal.  I love it and have had so many lovely comments from people.

Then I saw this T shirt, I love the criss cross neck line pattern.  It’s perfect for every day wear and is available in different colours.

Rose Cross detail T-Shirt RRP £8.00

Then I went and had a look at dresses section and came across this gorgeous blue everyday dress.

Floral Tie Back Tulip Dress RRP £25.00

Then finally went back to the knitted section and found this jumper

Choker Neck Jumper RRP £15.00

This jumper looked lovely online and I ordered my normal size but it was massive on me, just didn’t suit me unfortuantly.  I think you may have to order a size down unless you like baggy tops.

Keeping babies socks on with Twiddle Ons | Review

Our little boy Freddie is just over 5 months old now and is forever loosing his socks so when we had a delivery of “Twiddle Ons” from Sock Ons I couldn’t wait to try them out on him.

We received 1 set of Twiddle ons with fishes on, they are made up of lots of sensory parts so baby can feel and hear different sounds when wearing them.

Freddie loving them and they kept him happy and mesmerized for ages.  I feel these are a must have for babies for their development.

The great thing about these is they are all “One size” so will fit all little feet.   They would make a great little gift too.

These RRP at £8.99 which I feel is reasonable.
