Smyths Hape Pound and Tap Bench | Review

Freddie loves nothing more than to make as much noise as possible.

We were offered the opportunity to review the Hape Pound and tap bench which can be purchased from Smyths Toys for a price of £19.99.

What I love about this product is you can take the xylophone out so they can play with it separately.  It’s not to big so doesn’t take up much floor space and is wooden so can’t be destroyed easily.  The bright colours so you can thelp each them colours which will help with their development.

Since receiving this product Freddie has spend alot of time enjoying banging it and making lots of noise and would highly recommend it.

Safety 1st Timba highchair | Review

Our little boy is growing up way to quickly and can crawl, pull himself up and very nearly walk by himself.  He loves his food too.  We had to get 3 highchairs and that’s not cheap so when I was offered one from safety 1st I jumped at the opportunity.

My husband put it together the evening we received it but it wasn’t easy at all, it all came flat packed with instructions but they were pretty useless.  It was a 2 person job as you couldn’t slide any pieces into the frame you had to build it from one side to the other whilst trying to hold it all together

Once we finally fixed it all together, the next day we put Freddie in it, he seemed to like it but when there’s food around he will happily sit anywhere.

Unfortunately, the downside for us with this highchair is you can’t fold it away in a cupboard, once it is put together you have to dismantle it to put it away, luckily our kitchen is big enough to be able to leave it up.  Another thing I would change would be the straps as Freddie can easily turn around in it and has already nearly climbed out of it once as he has managed to wriggle his legs out of the straps, therefore I feel the safety of this highchair is not up to standard.

It easy to wipe over but if food is left or missed it is hard to get it off and have to use brute force.

I can’t say I would purchase this highchair in the future because of some of the points above.

Canvas Champ Review & Giveaway

I have always loved taking photos, I’m not very good at them but they turn out ok normally. I have a camera and a smart phone and most of the time I just upload them online to Facebook or Instagram and we never print them out.

We have been married nearly 12 months already and not one of our professional photos by our photographer Peter Blancflower have been printed out yet.  We were determined to get our butts into gear and sort through all the photos and get some either framed or put on canvas for the house.

But this is where canvas champ come into it and asked if  I wanted to review a canvas I immediately said yes, and left the husband to select a picture of our wedding he liked.

We were sent a 12″ x 8″ canvas of our chosen photo, which isn’t huge, but fit in a nice free space we had on the living room wall. The quality of the print is spot on – no blurring or distortion whatsoever.

The back of the canvas already comes with a hook attached to the frame so that it is really quick and simple to hang straight up.

Prices start at £3.99 for an 8″x8″ canvas, but if you fancy your chances of winning a 10″x 8″ photo canvas for yourself, enter the giveaway below!

Getting a Good Night’s Sleep with the Otty Memory Foam Pillows

There really is nothing like a good night’s sleep and so when Otty asked us if we’d like to review their Memory Foam Pillows I couldn’t say no, as ours were starting to have seen better days.

At the moment Otty are giving away two free pillows with any of order of their mattresses and the memory foam pillows are like nothing else. They are big and square – like a smaller version of the mattress – and you only ever need one of them. At first they take some getting used to as they feel so solid under your head but, they are great to sleep on and whereas we usually move our pillows about, re-shape them and turn them over through the night to get comfortable, the Otty pillows are just consistently comfortable. They keep their shape, have the same removable covers and support your head and neck so well. I did find them a little on the heavy side but super comfy.

The OTTY Deluxe pillow is the perfect combination of soft, comfortable memory foam and our Cool Blue Gel, which regulates your temperature for the perfect night’s sleep. This highly-acclaimed pillow has quickly become one of fastest selling in the UK. And its forward-thinking design and 3-year warranty make it easy to understand why.

My first night of having new pillows was amazing I really did sleep like a baby and woke up feeling all refreshed and ready to get on with the day ahead.

They are priced at £54.99 each and measure 60 x 40 x 10cm

I do feel they are a little expensive but if I had the money I would buy these as they are perfect pillows.

You can find out more about the Otty collection over on their website.

Disclosure: We were sent the above Pillows for the purpose of this post however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Bakerdays Letterbox cake review

I have reviewed these cakes previously so when the opportunity came up again I couldn’t resist.

I decided on ordering it for my friend’s 30th back in April as you can’t have a birthday without a birthday cake, right! I know my friend loves Flowers and butterfly’s so I chose the “any age floral number cake” priced at £14.99 for the letterbox cake

I was able to order it and set the delivery date that I wanted it to arrive so it wasn’t ordered to early or too late and missed my friend’s birthday. You could even have it delivered straight to their door as a surprise if you wanteda1.

The processing of the cake was so easy, choose your design, the flavour of sponge you want and then it gets delivered straight through your letterbox hassle free

I would be sure to buy any upcoming friends or family’s birthday cakes from this company as they are perfect for any occasion.

Baby Wing Dummy Clip Review

My Little boy only really has a dummy when he is tired or upset. I’ve got no problem with him having one, the only thing I do is when he is forever throwing them or messing with them and they fall on the floor or they are all down the side of his cot.

When Baby wings got in contact and offered me to review one of their sets it was hard to say no.

I chose the above clips as they are unisex and I liked the patterned on them. I love the fact they are easily washable and dry quickly, and lightweight too.

They can be purchased here from Amazon and priced at just £5.93. I have used them pretty much every day since I received them and they have been hand washed and they haven’t faded. They are available in 3 different patterns and designs.

My NameTags | Review

Our little boy has been in nursery now for just over 7 weeks and in the first couple of weeks they already managed to lose items of clothing or send them home with another child, so this is where Mynametags come into action and then hopefully no more lost clothes.

My Nametags don’t just produce stickers. They also make clever iron on stickers that can be put on anything fabric – clothes, coats, bags. They’re easy to attach and don’t even begin to fade for many, many washes.

I chose Mr Tickle, from the Mr Men range, to make it stand out on his clothing, they are priced at £13.95 + £1.00 P&P which I think for 56 stickers is very good value for money.

I really love My Nametags and think that they are great value for how long they last and the multitude of ways you can use them. They’re a great product and one I know we will be buying again as soon as our current supplies run out. The My Nametags range are perfect for any child starting school or nursery – or even to label things at home, for holidays or for clubs and other activities.

My Nametags Stickers have a starting RRP of £11.95 plus £1.00 P&P

I’ve now just got to find a quiet evening to sit down and label all the rest of his clothes.
