Engraved Cutlery – ByHappyMe | Review

*AD – GIFTED

Freddie has been fairly good at feeding himself for the last 12 months plus.  He’s been very independent from quite an early age to the point where he would refuse to eat unless he fed himself.

He’s growing up far too quickly and now at the age of 2 he is outgrowing his “baby” set of cutlery that we brought plus, we now no longer have a matching set after we left them in his hand luggage on the way home from holiday back in May and his knife got confiscated.

So, when Byhappyme got in contact about a collaboration on their products I said yes immediately.

I chose the engraved animal cutlery for Freddie as he turns too very soon I thought would be a great time to get him new cutlery.  You can choose from category’s such  animals or teddy bears and I chose the animals as Freddie loves nature.  How cute are they?  Freddie loves naming each animal on the cutlery and telling us what they are each time he uses them.

It came beautifully packaged with ribbon and sticker which I loved as they have taken pride in making sure their products are presented perfectly so customers come back.

If you wish to purchase these, you can from here and they are prices at £27.50.  When ordering you can choose from 3 different font types.

Byhappyme don’t just do cutlery they also do dummy’s, name tags, and gifts.  I will say, I do think they are a little on the expensive side for the products and wouldn’t willingly spend almost £30 on a cutlery set.  They would make a lovely gift christening gift or first birthday present and keepsake gift.

The cutlery fits perfectly the small hands and their size makes it easy for the child to manipulate them during the meal.  The cutlery can be washed in the dishwasher and made from stainless steel.

Do We Really Know How Clean Our Water Is?

*AD – Gifted

person opening faucet

We drink a fair amount of water in our house whether it is in hot drinks, Squash or straight from the tap with very little thought of what chemical or nasties maybe in it.

ZEROWATER 12 CUP / 2.8L JUG – £39.99

I received the zero water 12 cup/2.8L water jug and it was really easy to set up and it comes with one filter.  It is quite large and does take up pretty much the whole fridge door pocket up.  It also features a one-handed, pull and pour button spout for easy pouring from the fridge or for filling bottles.

Unlike other leading water filter jugs, ZeroWater benefits from a patented, 5-stage Ion exchange filtration system which removes virtually all dissolved solids from your water. This provides great tasting water without the dissolved solids which may include minerals, salts, metals, chemicals and runoff.

Four additional stages of water filtration ensure larger particles and other contaminants are removed, ensuring the filter delivers a “000” reading on the included laboratory-grade water quality meter.

I set this up as soon as I received it as I drink a lot of water and wanted to see if you really can taste the difference, the answer is YES, yes you can, really.  It’s even got the husband drinking more water.  Moreover, it reduces 99% of all Fluoride and other inorganics, such as nitrates, from your water.

I would recommend this product but if you wish to keep it in the fridge and only have a small one you may struggle to fit it in so suggest getting a smaller version.

Personalized Children’s Wall Art

I am a fan of wall art and pictures.  So when Paper steps offered to send us a print of our choose I couldn’t wait to pick one.  Our little boy’s room doesn’t really have a theme yet and just has a  wall sticker on the opposite wall but doesn’t have much wall space anywhere else.

I choose the “Love you to the moon & back” which we got personalised with Freddie’s name in A4.

This is priced at £10.80 and is printed on high quality matte archival paper that doesn’t fade.  It has made a lovely new  addition to his bedroom.

There are loads of designs to choose from all which can be personalised with names free of charge.  I will certainly be purchasing more prints from paper steps in the future.

Ordering is so easy: Just go to https://papersteps.co.uk and pick out your favorite print, customize and then get ready to frame your pretty pic when it arrives!

  • We were sent this print free of charge for the purpose of this review.  However, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Frame not included.

My Top Eco Friendly Products

Over the course of the last few months I have been trying to reduce the amount of waste we throw away in our household and start using more environmentally friendly products. We recycle everything we can to help and between 3 of us, a dog & rabbit we only have 1 bag of rubbish a week at the moment which I think is quite good.

Cheeky Wipes

The first thing I changed was the amount of wet wipes we used, with a toddler things can get messy very quickly and we seemed to get through quite a lot.  These reusable wipes are so much easier, you can just throw them in the washing machine and use again plus they are soft on baby’s skin.

Where to Buy: Cheeky Wipes

Ecover Washing-Up Liquid

Firstly it smells amazing, gently on delicate skin and you only need a little bit to make lots of bubbles.  I would buy this in the future.  Currently priced at £1.50 for 500ml.

Where to Buy: Sea Kelp and Orange scented limited-edition Ocean Washing-Up liquid

Splosh Products

The great thing about this product is you can buy refills which are delivered straight to your door.  It will help reduce waste in the environment.  They smell fresh too.

Where to Buy: Splosh

Modi Bodi Pants

I’m not sure exactly how I feel about these, I love that they are Eco friendly but it also feels like your just wear normal underwear which isn’t a bad thing but then i’m panicking thinking i’m going to leak forgetting I won’t.  They hold up to 20ml of liquid, which is approx two tampons worth.

Where to buy: Modibodi

I’m hoping over time I will find more ways to help the environment and reduce more waste in our house.

What are your top Eco friendly products you use in your household?

Vax Blade 2 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner | Review

Hands up if you actually enjoy vacuuming?  I don’t!

I can’t say it’s ever been one of my most favourite jobs to do,  lugging a vacuum every which way wherever you need it to be, finding or been able to access a plug socket, doing half a room before having to unplug and plug it in somewhere closer to get it to reach into those hard corners.

We had asked for one for Christmas from my parents, the continual thought of dragging one up and down the stairs until we could save up for a decent one had filled me with dread, but it’s no longer something I need to worry about.

With having a dog that is forever malting and a toddler who throws/drops food everywhere I wanted a vacuum I could quickly whizz around the house daily.  We were given the Vax blade 2.

The Vax Blade 2 is cordless, so I don’t have to worry about any cables getting in the way anymore.  The part I hated the most was doing the stairs and trying to balance the vacuum while trying to clean, now that has gone and it so much easier.

It’s as powerful as a conventional vacuum. It takes four hours to fully charge and gives you 45 minutes cleaning time – more than enough time to do the whole house.  There are lights on the handle to let you know how much power is left and lights when the brush is rotating to allow you to see what’s on the floor.

We use it with the long pole attached to do the laminate throughout the downstairs and the carpets upstairs, but  also included with the vacuum was a selection of other attachments to do other jobs.

It retails at around £200 and is well worth every penny.  I would highly recommend this vacuum.

  • We were given this product as a Christmas present.  However all words and opinions are our own.

B-Sensible Bedding Review

One thing I love is clean sheets, I change our bed once a week without fail.  I sometimes worry I’m not going to have enough bedding, yet the draw is over flowing with quilt sets.

When B-sensible got in contact and offered us to review bedding I jumped straight on their website.  B-Sensible offer a range of 2 in 1 bedding products that are both breathable and waterproof. Along with their 2 in 1 bed sheets for adult beds, they also sell sheets for cots, cot beds and toddler beds.

I choose the turquoise sheet and matching pillow cases for our bed, they are super soft and wouldn’t know they have a protective cover underneath as you don’t feel it or hear it.

Where to buy: Fitted sheet protector double turquoise – £50.00

Where to buy: Pillowcase protector turquoise – £14.00

Along with bed sheet we also have matching pillowcases, which are also waterproof and breathable. Something a bit different about this pillowcase is that it zips closed, instead of having the traditional fold inside.

For Freddie the white breathable and waterproof sheet, this would be perfect for when we start potty training him as if there were accidents in the night  it wouldn’t ruin his mattress.  Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size so it doesn’t fit his mattress.

Where to BuyFitted sheet protector cot white – £24.00

My Thoughts

I would be sure to buy these but they are a bit on the expensive side , if they were cheaper I would buy them and swap all our bedding for this brand.

The British Hamper Company | Review

We love nothing more than a Christmas Hamper, it is a perfect gift for so many friends and family, and also a lovely treat to yourself to kick off the festive season!

This year we received the “The happy Christmas Hamper”, which is currently priced at £89.99.

It arrived fast and well packaged. The hamper itself is a really high quality hamper box with beautiful detail and finished with a ribbon.

And, most importantly, it is full of wonderful brand name goodies!

The shortbread biscuits did not last long!

A successful hamper all round – bring on the Festive Season!
