I haven’t been very successful with keeping up with this linky, but I will post as and when I remember as I’m very busy trying to organise things for our wedding with less than 6 weeks to go now.
This weeks meal plan is:
Chicken Tikka Stirfry with Egg Noodles
Chilli Burgers with Monterey Jack & smoked bacon loaded fries
Chicken En croute with homemade Potato Wedges
Cottage Pie with Vegetables
Chicken Tikka Curry with Rice
Lasanga, Chips & Garlic Bread
Roast Dinner with all the trimmings
What’s on your meal plan this week?
August bank holiday weekend we headed over to Wales to spend the day with my Sister in Law.
There was the Rhyl air show on during the weekend but the finale was on the Sunday – which we were lucky enough to watch, we watched the spectacular Red Arrows – of course from the comfort of a pub beer garden, It was incredibly busy, but the atmosphere was really nice – the sun shining sure helped!
Having recently had a baby I see all times of night/day. The other morning at 5.30am just after I had finished feeding I could see the sun starting to rise through our blinds, so went and opened them and managed to capture this beautiful sunrise. The picture really doesn’t do it justice.
Have a great Sunday everyone!
4 weeks ago I became a very proud first time mummy to a boy who we named Freddie. I don’t know where the weeks have gone. It was a long 15 hour labour but so worth every minute of pain.
Welcoming Freddie Charles Thomas, born 8th July 2017 @ 19.12pm.
It has been quite a while since I have joined in with this linky as the past few weeks have been making sure we had everything we needed to welcome our new arrivel into the world and I can imagine the next few weeks after will be insane with getting ourselves into a routine of a family of 3. We also are trying to getting everything organised for our wedding which is in 3 months time.
Lots of lovely comments from friends and family since giving birth to our gorgeous little boy Freddie. Also receiving lots of appointment letters through the post for both Freddie’s and mine Midwife/Health visitors and doctors check ups.
Day time TV, and realising how crap it actually is.
The sad news of Chester Bennington from Linkin Park Hanging himself. I grew up loving and blasting linkin Park music out in my bedroom. Such tragedy to loose such a legend from the music industry.
A mixture of summer/winter like clothes such as maxi dresses and jeans and cardigans after we had a spell of really hot weather then cold winds and rain where I was forced to dig out my jeans from the wardrobe.
The arrival of our little bundle of joy who finally made an appearance on Saturday 8th July 2017 @ 19:12PM just 1 day over his due date.
It is now the 6 week school holidays which I bet all the kids are happy about. Are you and your family’s going away this summer holidays?
How was your week?
Half term has now been and gone with a blink of an eye. Sadly there was no rest over here for the week for me, I spent the week at work handing over all my clients to the relevant people ready to start my Maternity Leave in a couple of weeks.
Sadly again nothing. I am determined while I’m off and baby is sleeping is to read so blog posts and get some inspiration, so please feel free to leave me your blog links in the comments and I will have a nose and leave some comments.
That while we were away in Wales over bank holiday weekend at my Sister in Laws, my friend Laura had finally had her baby Girl Isabelle, just 4 days overdue as well. She was gorgeous and her labour and birth sounded perfect. Just hope mine is as good as my pregnancy has been.
My first maxi dress of the year. It is the only one that I could squeeze into with my ever growing pregnancy tummy, but it felt great to wear it. Even more so while the weather had been hot to keep my cool.
A first BBQ of the year too…If that counts, we had the in-laws round the other Friday and as the weather was so nice we decided to do a last-minute BBQ, plus it was my father in laws birthday.
Britain’s got Talent, I never used to be big on these sort of TV programmes but I’ve grown to like it and they get some really good people on it, but then there are others that just make you cringe in your seat.
We went and spend the bank holiday weekend up in Wales at the sister in Laws, 6 adults, 2 dogs, 2 cats and 3 children in a bungalow was a little tight but we had a great time.
This is a take-back!
2 weeks ago I was recovering from what was one of the best days of my life….My 4 bridesmaids had arranged the most unforgettable day & night for my hen do. I didn’t know what they had planned as I wanted a surprise and I am so happy I did, it was amazing.
It had started off at a makeover studio followed by a photo shoot, then we moved off to Arcadian in Birmingham for food & Cocktail making masterclass.
WOW, How nice has the weather been the last week? I have loved it even if I have struggled in the heat being pregnant, I took ever opportunity after work to get outside and sit in the garden and catch the last few rays of sunshine.
This always seems to be the hardest category for me to think about and write up. I even charged up my Kindle to try to read that but never got round to it either. One day I may be better at this bit.
The tragic events of the last Mondays Manchester bombing attack. However, following the tragedy, the goodness of normal human beings come to light to help out. Taxi drivers taking people home for free, hotels putting people up, restaurants offering emergency staff free food & people opening their doors to anyone in need. There have been so many little stories of good deeds been done that actually, it is acceptable to mention it in Little Loves. My thoughts go out to everyone involved in the event though – it was just heartbreaking.
Some new tops that I bought for my hen do. I got them from New Look and love them as they fit over my bump and I can wear them after baby Cooper arrives too. Bonus they are still a size 10.
I made it to the baby show with my cousin and managed to walk around it for a few hours, I was pretty tired after it but had a great day, talking to lots of different brands and people about products, getting lots of samples and freebie bottles & nappies etc. It’s the 3rd year in a row I have been but this year was useful as I am expecting my first baby in just 5 weeks.
The last series of Benidorm, I’ve really grown to love that program. I know some people don’t like it but I have enjoyed watching it. We are a little bit behind so have been playing catch up on TV series.
I had my hen do last weekend which was planned by my 4 bridesmaids, I didn’t know anything about it as I wanted to keep it as a surprise. It was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. It was filled with so much laughter I was aching in places I didn’t know I could. It started off we went for a makeover & photo shoot then we went to Arcadian in Birmingham where we had a massive buffet of food and then did a cocktail making class.
I am determined while on maternity leave to get better at getting involved and up to date with this linky.
Last weekend we made a trip down to Suffolk, the last time we had been there was over 4 years ago where my OH took me for a weekend and proposed to me on the beach.
We took a trip to Felixstowe for an afternoon of arcades and walking on beaches. On the beach front were some colourful beach huts. Perfect photo for #MySundayPhoto.
Just how gorgeous are they!
Well, as mentioned a few weeks ago I wouldn’t be joining in with this every week as I don’t do anything of interest other than going to work, cooking, cleaning & going to bed and then repeating it all over ago day after day. I’m hoping that in just a few shorts months we will have a little bundle of joy to introduce to the world so will have a lot more stuff to share with the world.
I haven’t read anything recently at all. I would love to read some of your blog posts though to give me some inspiration.
We went to our first Pregnancy class the other week at Solihull hospital called birthability, there was a small group of about 7 couples. We talked about the best birthing positions, how everyone was feeling, what they were expecting and lots more pregnancy related things.
Nothing different, Same old dresses, leggings and tops. I haven’t bought any new clothes yet and I would like to but I haven’t seen anything I like. I really need to get some new clothes as my Hen do is fast approaching and need some nice things to wear.
Complaints…I recently brought some flowers from my local Waitrose in town by work to brighten the house up and they died before they even opened up. This is the 2nd lot of flowers I have bought from there and it is safe to say I certainly won’t be buying my flowers again from there.
The Walking dead, well kind of, not my sort of film but the OH was watching it and I kept glimpsing up at it every so often. Kept thinking I was going to have nightmares after watching it.
We finally brought a new car, a lot bigger than my previous one but with a large dog (Rottweiler) and a baby on the way we needed something that would fit everything we needed in it. We have changed from a little corsa to a rather large Ford S-Max estate, it feels like I am driving a mini bus but I will get used to it in time.
