Wow, what a week last week was I thought it went so quickly. The first week in my new old job went fine and I’m back for another full on week. We had a mixed weekend as Freddie has been unsettled and we aren’t sure if he is having night terrors as he is waking up screaming and not settling well.
I do need to go food shopping again so this week we are living out the freezer and having:
Well today is the first day in my new old job, basically I used to work here before I left for maternity and then got made redundant whilst on maternity leave and now they are slowly asking for people back. I have tried to be organised for the week ahead and did a huge food shop on Saturday afternoon spending over £90, the most I have spent in ages but that should see us through for a couple of weeks.
Last week was a bit of a write of as our little boy was poorly, still don’t know what was wrong with him but he just kept crying so we decided to take him to Heartlands to get checked over. So the meals we planned we kind of stuck too, but with both of us shattered I didn’t feel much like cooking.
This is my last working week here at Reed Exhibitions as I’m on holiday next week so me and Hubby can spend some time together before starting my new job beginning of september.
This weeks meals are:
Ginster Pasties & Salad
Omlette & Chips
Sausages, Homemade roast potatoes, Veg & Gravy
Chicken & Bacon tagliatelle in cheese sauce
Cheese & bacon potato skins with salad & beans
Roasted Lemon Salmon, New potatoes and green beans
A few weeks again we had our first proper family photoshoot as a review opportunity through John Jenkins Photography and finally got the photos sent to us. We are totally in love with them and can’t wait to get them printed, framed and put up in various place around our house.
So here is one of my many favourites of our shoot as a family of 3
Well I had some really exciting news this month, I’ve got a new job, Well not exactly new but back to my old place where I was before I went on maternity leave and got made redundant. So i’ve got effectively got 3 weeks left here, then a week with the husband at home bank holiday week, then I start the beginning of September.
The last few weeks have been hard for meal planning as i’ve been poorly with a bacterial throat infection and had a fever all weekend but i’m on the mend now with a course of antibiotics and back to finding new meal ideas.
I don’t listen to music as often as I would like to these days. When I’m at home alone, I would normally put the TV on and listen to music channels or tend to put Spotify on my phone on the speaker in the kitchen if i’m in the garden.
Whenever we go out, I tend to stick on the radio or the odd CD, yes I do still listen to CD’s in my car.
Anyway, I was tagged by Rachel from Coffee,Cake, Kids to put on my playlist (I only have one called Kims Playlist, with only 150 tracks on), put it on shuffle and write about the first fifteen songs that came on. I thought it could end up quite interesting – I have a really wide taste in music, which the songs below show from pop, rock to RnB.
The rules are very simple
Thank the person who nominated you for this tag and link to their blog.
Shuffle your entire music library or a very large playlist (no matter how old songs the songs are)
Talk about the FIRST FIFTEEN songs that come up (anything like why they are there, if they signify something, any story, why you like them, etc.)
Mention the songs as well as the artists.
Tag about 7 people and please let them know

3. The One – Kodaline
This is my favourite ever song because it was our first dance song at our wedding back in October 2017. I know all the words and it brings tears to my eyes and chokes me up everytime I listen to it. I could never get bored of such a beautiful and meaningful song.

How are you we at the end of July already? I believe the schools have broken up now for the 6 weeks holidays too. I wish I was on holiday but the countdown is on for my break away from work at the end of August.
Well I haven’t been food shopping since Freddie’s Birthday party so I really need to go and get some proper food in to be able to cook decent meals, but we have survived living out of the freezer as have lots of bits I can throw together to make a OK dinner.
So this week we have:
Pan Fried Pork with homemade wedges
Chicken in white wine sauce and rice
Chicken caesar salad
Salmon, minted new potatoes & salad
Garlic & herb chicken with beef rice and salad
Fancy burgers & chips
We are getting bored of the same old meals I do so any new ones would be greatly received. Leave in the comment box below
WHAT A CRAZY FEW WEEK!! Coming back from a lovely wedding a couple of weekends ago and another lovely sunny weekend with family and BBQs. Then find out 2 weeks ago they are closing our Shirley office sometime between September & December this year so are all been made redundant. Just as I found myself settled in a lovely office close to home and my first job after maternity leave.
Chicken, bacon & spinach tagliatelle with cheese sauce.
