Clean 9 Forever Program

I have always been a healthy eater ever since I was young, eating lots of vegetables and fruit.  As I got older I started eating more and started getting bigger and starting to feel uncomfortable in my own body about the way I looked and felt about myself.  Been quite short (4ft 11″) it was starting to show more on my thighs and waist than anywhere else.  It made me realise more when I was going up in clothes sizes that I need to do something and soon.

One day me and my friend were talking at work and she told me that she runs her own little forever group so we were discussing it all in depth about the pros and cons of the C9 then introduced me to the Forever Clean 9, it is a little on the expensive side at £108 but it is so worth it.  I have done and completed the C9 twice now and have enjoyed every part of doing it even though it is tough.  It was very helpful to know that my friend had done the clean 9 as well, so I could discuss things with her and discuss tips and advice.

Check out Forever living and you can also contact my friend to discuss furthur at Facebook, or for fantastic exclusive offers just quote ‘Kim20’.

How does the C9 works?

Days 1 & 2 –  Unfortuantly you can’t eat on the first two days, You take supplements, Aloe Vera Gel, 1 fibre sachet, 1 Shake (Chocolate/Vanilla) a day and plenty of water through the days along with any of your free foods such as tomatoes, cucumber, Spring onions, lettuce and plenty of fruit too grapes, apples, strawberries and blueberries (see booklets for more).

Days 3 – 9 – You take the same as days 1&2 with supplements, Aloe Vera Gel & can now have 2 shakes (1 at breakfast and either one at lunch or tea) and 1 meal up to 600 calories (Lunch/Dinner).  So say you have a shake at lunch you eat your 600 calorie meal at night or you can switch it round and have your meal at lunch time and your shake at tea time whatever works best for you and your lifestyle.

The benefits of doing the C9 are amazing, it helps in many different ways as it extracts and cleanses your body from the inside.  It gives you more energy, makes you less tired and stops that bloaty feeling.  I have tried several diets before from weight Watchers, Special K and Slim fast and nothing was as effective as the Forever cleanse.  I would recomend this to anyone that would like to try and lose weight and tone up.

My weight lose was around 1 stone in 9 days plus losing inches for different parts of my body, I felt great in myself and was really pleased with the results I got.

This is my story on the Clean 9, have you tried it yet? Don’t forget to visit Tara on facebook for fantastic exclusive offers just quote ‘Kim20’ for your pack now.

Enjoy reading and I look forward to hearing your stories.

A family Tradition – Brandy Truffles

Every year there is a conversation started around the beginning of December about will my mum be making her amazing truffles this year,  Well of course the answer is always yes.  They have become a real hit with all our family and friends and they are usually devoured in minutes.

I couldn’t even tell you how or when it even started but I know something it is one of the best thing my mum has started and I think alot of family and friends will agree too.  Since moving out last year I decided I would start making them as well because they are quite easy to make. So I thought I would kindly share the recipe with you all below too.

What you will need:

  1. 8oz Bournville or dark chocolate
  2. 4 tablespoons of Brandy
  3. 3oz Margarine
  4. 4oz Icing Sugar (Sived)
  5. 4oz Ground Almond

What to do:

  1. Break up the chocolate and melt in a bowl over a pan of boiling water, when it starts melting add the margarine and then the Brandy, keep stiring it.
  2. While that is melting, get another bowl and put the ground almonds in and then Sive the icing sugar, stiring them all together.
  3. Slowly add the ground almonds and Icing Sugar to the chocolate mix  bit by bit making sure it is all mixed in together.
  4. Once it is all mixed in leave the mixture to cool for around 10 – 15minutes or until firm enough to roll into balls.
  5. Finally roll into chocolate hundred and thousands, and place in the mini cake cases.

This is the end product and I have to say they are delicious and Rachel at Parenthood highs and lows would say the same.

Would love to hear your thoughts if you have a go at making these.

Enjoy 🙂

Christmas – What a wonderful time of year

Surely now it’s not to early to start talking about the ‘C ‘ word.  YES CHRISTMAS!

Christmas is my favourite time of year, ever since I was a little kid I would never be able to sleep on Christmas Eve. I would always start putting the Christmas decorations up at my parents as soon as the 1st December arrived. I would always keep going on at my mum and dad about going to pick the Christmas tree up every opportunity I had I was that excited. Ever since I have known we have always had a real Christmas tree. I Just love the smell of them, makes it feel proper Christmassy (even if the needles do sometimes drop)

I usually start planning my Christmas present list, working out what to get friends and family, thinking about writing and posting my Christmas cards and starting to make my handmade Christmas cards from about beginning of November.

Last year 2014 we had just moved into our first home before Christmas so didn’t have a lot of time to get many decorations etc, we were given a Christmas tree and some decorations and I managed to buy a few baubles and lights but this year 2015 I am starting early and getting organised.

This was our first Christmas tree

I love real Christmas trees especially the smell, I know they do drop needles sometimes and can be a pain but it is what makes it feel more Christmassy to me. Between me and my fiance we have 4 nephews, youngest is 12 months and eldest is 7 years, and as you can imagine they get very excited about Christmas so we have to make sure we are ready and prepared well in advance.

On top of getting ready for Christmas I then start making my hand crafted cards and I have been lucky enough to be able to sell them at a couple of Christmas fayre’s, one was at my nephews school and the other was at a nursery, I did quite well at these and sold lots of my cards and was asked to also make a couple of personalised ones for baby’s 1st Christmas.

I have sold my cards to family members too, I really enjoy making my cards and they are unique and you won’t find anything around like them. I tend to start making my Christmas cards around end of October after the mad rush of birthdays in the family.

You can find pictures of all my cards on my Facebook page at KimzKardz.

Stur – Liquid water enhancer – Product review

In our house we get through quite alot of squash so when I had the chance to try new flavours of squash from a company call Stur I jumped at the chance.

Stur Drinks is a family run business and it has introduced some new flavours to its range recently.  The squash is made of all natural ingredients.  They are presented and avaliable in multi packs of different flavours and there are 8 flavours to choose from and come in handy pocket/hangbags sizes so are easily transportable.

They are avaliable to purchase through their website on amazon at Stur Drinks.

The flavours I got to taste were: Pomegranate/Cranberry, Coconut water + Pineapple and original coconut water.

I am not keen on coconut or coconut flavoured things but this water enhancher was different. You just got a sutle taste of the coconut water and could really take the pineapple which added a lovely sweet taste to it.

Next I tried the Cranberry and pomegrante, this had to be my favourite by far the taste was sweet but not too overpowering to make you pull those funny faces when something sweet hits your taste buds.

The last one I tried was the original coconut water one.  This was my least favourite as it was quite bland and could really taste the coconut but if you like the taste then you will love it.  You can make the squash as strong or weak as you like as can squeeze what you require.

I would recommend these drinks and dont think they are expensive either to purchase.

I was sent these products for free for my honest reviews and opinions.

Bye Bye October

Well what can I say…where has October gone?

Every year October is one of my worst (in the nicest way) and not forgetting expensive months of all.  It starts off with all the Best people’s birthday’s, Mine, my fiance, my sister in Law, My sister in-laws partners, and their son’s birthday.  We also have lots of other friends aswell who celebrate their birthday’s in October.

Then we had the build up to Halloween and as an Auntie to 4 nephews, I know the eldest ones gets very excited about it so this year I invited my nephews over to do a weekend of Halloween crafts, we did pumpkin carving and made lots of different Halloween crafts that we found on Pinterest.  You can find almost anything on Pinterest by just searching in the box at the top.

Here are our finished pumpkins (Little help from the adults)

We also made some jumping jack Pumpkins with springy legs.

The boys had great fun cutting the pumpkin shapes out of orange card (with supervision from the adults because scissors are sharp) and then colouring them in and drawing different funny/scary faces on them.  We stuck a lollipop stick on the back and then created some springy legs and arms out of paper by folding it and stuck them on using prit stick.

We all had great fun making crafts and the boys were shattered at the end of the day.

What did you do in October and get up to for Halloween?

Morphy Richards Redefine Kettle and Toaster Review

I was very excited when I received an email back in August from Morphy Richards telling me I had been selected to trial out their redefine glass kettle and toaster.

It didn’t arrived till October but the wait was so worth it when I finally received them via courier.

I could not wait to get my parcels out of the packaging and see what they looked liked and test them out.

You can buy these direct from the Morphy Richards Website

Redefine Glass Kettle – Priced at £99.99

Redefine Glass Toaster – Priced at £199.99

I do think that they are a little expensive for an every day kettle and toaster.

The kettle wasn’t too heavy even though it is made with glass, The kettle has toughened Duran Schott glass and illuminated body so you can watch the water boil. The design of the glass body allows you to clearly see the water volume inside aswell.  It has an invisable spout design for that perfect pour, Limescale Filter, Cord storage that keeps your work surface neat and tidy and Ergonomically designed handle.

I don’t know about you but I hate burnt toast. The fantastic thing about this toaster is you can watch your toast cooking to perfection.  The bread carriage automatically rises and falls with a controlled, smooth action to give perfect browning.

It has 7 settings on it, so dependant on how you like your toast cooked you can turn it up or down.  It is all automatic with just a press of a button (Start/Stop), the up/down button allows you to turn up or turn down the settings (1-7) of how you want your toast cooked. Each setting has a time limit on them but it allows you to stop toasting at any time by just pressing the start/stop button.

I would say the only other thing about it as it is mostly glass they can  both get quite warm to the touch, so just keep that in mind during and after use and BE CAREFUL when using around young children.

I would highly recommend these products for purchase.

I was sent these product free of charge direct from Morphy Richards to trial and give my honest opinions and reviews on them.

How My Bedroom Became My Sanctuary – Guest Post

If you had looked at my bedroom only a few weeks ago, you would have thought a teenager was sleeping in it. The paint was loud, the curtains were thin, the room was cluttered with clothes and pink nick knacks everywhere, and the bed was less than inviting. This was the last room wanted to retire in at the end of the day because it took a huge effort just to get comfortable in there. I decided I had enough and was going to take back the bedroom and make it a place I wanted to spend more time in both during the day and each night.

What I did?

The first thing I did was decide on a theme for the bedroom. The part of room was painted a soft sand color, with the trim a light blue tone. It instantly looked like the colors I would expect to see at the beach. My next move was to go to CutPriceMattresses and find a new 4ft6 double mattress. I choose a great deal on a new firm innerspring mattress set that arrived a few days after i placed my order.

Next I got some new long curtains that matched the trim and almost look like flowing waves as the wind blows through the windows. I painted some shelves I found at a yard sale to look old and worn. The chipped white paint is awesome for giving anything that worn out look. I placed all the little accessories around the room up on shelves, then added in some fun touches. I filled glass vases, jars, and glasses, with beach sand and threw in some sea shells too. Now the room actually had some of the beach in it.

The comforter and the pillows were all tossed, replaced with beautiful earth tone colors that gave the bedroom that soothing look it was missing. I placed some tan candles on the end tables and put all the junk either in the closet, in drawers, or in the trash. Each day I add a few fresh cut flowers to my vase on my dresser, and the room is simply the best looking in my house. I look forward to reading in the bedroom on my days off, and definitely retiring in there each night.

Interior Designing – Our home where the story began

Since before I owned my own house and were even looking for a house I had my perfect house set out in my head, what sort of furniture and colour schemes I wanted, what sort of layout I wanted it e.g. wanted separate lounge, but didn’t mind kitchen/diner. I wanted a 3 bedroom house (forward thinking for when starting a family), didn’t mind about the garden size but wanted some sort of garden as have got green fingers so like spending sunny days doing a bit of digging and planting seeds and flowers to add a bit of colour.

So after a couple of years of searching for houses we finally found one and it pretty much ticked every box in my head, it consisted of entrance hallway, leading to Lounge and then off to kitchen/diner, in the kitchen there was a separate room which was called the coal house but I have turned it into the laundry room adding a work top for extra storage, and an under stairs cupboard which we are having turned into a pantry as it is a really useful space to have.

When it came to deciding the decor I already knew what colours I wanted in each room.

Lounge: – Creams and browns with a feature wall I wanted it warm and Inviting especially when it is winter time so you can feel warm when it is snowing out.

Kitchen/Diner: – In Creams, Purple and Chrome colours

Our Bedroom: – Neutral with feature wall where it will be warm and cosy where you can curl up any time of day

Bedroom 3:- Magnolia, Clean and neutral for any visitors/family to stay and feel cosy.

Bedroom 2:- Magnolia – Currently this is my craft room where I make my handcrafted cards and accessories

Since owning the house I have become very house proud, everything has its own place, and I certainly like it kept neat, tidy and clean. Most of all I love my family and friends coming over.

We have had the house 12 months now and there is still lots of little bits to do in it and if we ever want to change the colours and styles it will be easy to do so as we have kept it neutral.

What is your colour schemes in your house?
